# Slabline

> Slabline is a credit-style risk index for graded trading-card collections. It turns a collection of professionally graded ("slabbed") cards into a single 0–1000 Slabline Score™ — analogous to a credit score — and produces broker-ready insurance documentation. Operated by Hobby Smart Case, Inc.

Slabline scores a collection across five weighted risk factors:

- **Insurance (35%)** — coverage vs. current market value; flags coverage gaps.
- **Concentration (25%)** — exposure to a single player, set, or card.
- **Storage (20%)** — climate, fire, theft, light protection, and handling.
- **Liquidity (10%)** — how readily holdings convert to cash at fair value.
- **Provenance (10%)** — documentation, grading pedigree, and purchase records.

Valuations are built from real comparable sales (eBay, Heritage, Goldin, PWCC). Score bands: A (≥880), B (≥750), C (≥600), D (≥400), F (<400).
